Celebrating 95 Years of The Barclay

Today, the InterContinental New York Barclay remains Manhattan’s preeminent luxury hotel in New York City after undergoing the most ambitious restoration in its history. Combining sophistication and contemporary design, while staying true to its original Federalist style details, The Barclay exudes confidence and warmth, delivering the same residential feel with modern comfort and flexibility introduced to the world 95 years later.

Fun Fact: InterContinental New York Barclay was built in 1926 as part of the urban design around New York City’s Grand Central Terminal. It was one the first hotels to have electricity 24/7, as it was using the turbine hall of the station as a generator.

Celebrating 75 Years of InterContinental

InterContinental 75

Though the exact time of creation is debated whether at the New York Bar in Paris in 1915 or a decade later at the height of prohibition, drinking of the French 75 cocktail has historically marked the celebration of major milestones. In honor of the InterContinental 75th anniversary, hotels will feature a modern twist on the cocktail.

InterContinental 75: A celebratory twist on the classic French 75, refreshing and delightfully botanical. Honey sweet with notes of citrus and herbal aromatics. The perfect cocktail to celebrate our anniversary or any occasion.

Now available at The Parlour!
