OHAD TALMOR – SQUADRA AZZURRA

Led by Brooklyn-based saxophonist and composer Ohad Talmor, Squadra Azzurra brings together one of Europe's most promising new jazz ensembles with one of the most respected voices on today's international scene.

For over three decades, Talmor has built a unique artistic path between New York and Europe, collaborating with artists such as Lee Konitz, Steve Swallow, Adam Nussbaum, Jason Moran, Joshua Redman, Fred Hersch, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Joe Lovano. His work has consistently explored the dialogue between composition and improvisation, tradition and innovation, making him an ideal catalyst for a new international collaboration.

For this project, Talmor joins forces with bassist and composer André Lo, whose original music forms the foundation of the repertoire. Alongside trumpeter Mati Jørge, pianist Francis Tuck, and drummer Don Blacksmith, the quintet represents a new generation of European musicians whose energy, imagination, and collective identity create fertile ground for Talmor's expansive musical language.
